Entertaiment means something that affords pleasure, diversion, or amusement. It can also refer to an agreeable occupation for the mind, such as solving the daily crossword puzzle. It is the same root as ten, which translates to “to stretch” or “stretch out.” This article appeared in the Fall 2011 issue of T E News.
Entertainment stimulates the brain to realease seratonin and other chemicals that give a good feeling. It also hits the points that the mind was evolved to deeply react, such as social backstabbing, murders and other themes in society which were important for survival in a world where people interact with one another.
