Entertaiment is a broad subject and can take any number of forms: the pleasures to be derived from food, music, dance, theater, film, reading, sports, games, and even ceremonies or religious festivals. In some cases, entertainment is simply to entertain oneself with familiar and comfortable elements of the familiar; in others, it is to provide relaxation or diversion in the face of stress, pain, anxiety, or boredom. Entertaiment can be fun, humorous, or serious, and may be of any scale: from a personal choice to watch a movie, to a banquet for two, to performances intended for thousands.
